If you’re a Kickstarter backer, and would like to place an additional preorder, you can optionally consolidate your packages. This means they’ll ship as a single unit and arrive in one box.
This will typically reduce overall shipping costs and packaging, but you’ll have to wait until all your items are ready.
If this option isn’t selected, we will ship your items separately when they’re each ready.
how
To choose consolidated shipping, add a note at checkout, saying something like “consolidate”.
Alternatively, email us at support@whomtech.tech.
If you’re using a different email address or username to your Kickstarter handle, you’ll need to give us enough info to connect the two accounts.
shipping
This will generally reduce your overall shipping costs, due to reducing the number of separate packages sent.
When you place your order, any shipping you pay will be deducted from the total final shipping cost. When you receive a shipping invoice for the Kickstarter reward, this will show up as a deduction.
free shipping
If you place a preorder with free shipping, and consolidate it with an existing Kickstarter reward, then the original shipping rates for the reward will apply — unfortunately we’re not able to extend the free shipping rate to the original Kickstarter rewards. (But there’ll be no additional shipping charge for the preorder.)
priority
Consolidated orders will be moved to the end of the backer queue. This is to avoid delaying other backers’ rewards.
We may waive this for small orders, where we think they won’t cause too much delay.
Consolidated orders still have priority over reservations and preorders — i.e. you’ll still receive your delivery as part of the original Kickstarter block.
For very large and/or surprising orders, we reserve the right to change priority around. (For example: if a Kickstarter backer suddenly orders 50 kits, it wouldn’t be fair for us to fulfil those ahead of the reservation queue.)
exceptions
There may be cases where consolidation is impractical. For example, in certain regions it may lead to combining packages with multiple different import duty obligations. This can get complicated, and may even be more expensive than shipping each package separately.
If we’re unable to consolidate your packages, we’ll contact you with some options. This will include:
- Cancelling the preorder with a full refund
- Unconsolidating your order
We may also provide other options on a case-by-case basis.
