GRIB drive
A mechanical Operating System for powering applications like [roons].
The GRIB drive acts as a platform for powering and synchronising mechanisms. You can think of roons as a single “app” that runs on the Operating System provided by GRIB.
GRIB drives can be connected up to create grids of arbitrary size. You can then load modules onto the grid, creating custom mechanisms. A roons disk is one such module; you can also find a couple of other examples in whom
mart.
open source
Wait, don’t click the “buy” button! If you have a 3D printer, you may be able to make a version of this for free at home.

GRIB is open source. You can download the files and print a drive yourself.
An early access version of GRIB is currently only available to our Kickstarter backers. We expect to fully open-source version 1.0 in late August.
