Do you need more BITS?
With these 64 additional marbles, you can represent a whopping 8 bytes of data. That’s almost 10 bytes of data!
To put into perspective how large this is: if we took the source code for the video game Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex and represented it in marbles, it would almost certainly be much larger than 8 bytes.

roons is designed to be compatible with standard 9mm clay/ceramic slingshot ammo. If you’re looking to get a large number of bits, you can save money by buying this from another vendor. We mark up this product like the thieving little raccoons we are.
preorder
We’re currently fulfilling the original Kickstarter rewards. The estimated dispatch time for preorders is 7-8 weeks.
Each kit is manufactured in our workshop in Camden Town, London. We use lots of machines that make cool beeping sounds, and finish each kit by hand.
Kits will be dispatched in this order:
- Kickstarter backers
- Post-Kickstarter reservations (based on the date the reservation was made)
- Preorders (based on the date of the preorder)
Do I need more BITS?
No!
Well, maybe.
Each kit comes with enough bits to work through our tutorial sequences, plus some spare. But with your own custom patterns, it's possible you'll find yourself running out of bits, particularly if you lose a marble or two.
This is most likely to happen with patterns where you're trying to store a large amount of data (particularly if you're using the Buffer peripheral).
Additional bits allows you to create more reservoirs (continuous streams of marbles), which are essential for things like NOT gates. You can often work around this with some clever design, but having the option to go into a reservoir is helpful.

If you’re a Kickstarter backer (thanks!), please be aware there may be small differences between the original reward tiers and the kits available here on whom
